Mission

The Jeff Farris Leadership Academy was established by Rotary District 6170 to assist local clubs in developing individual Rotarians for future leadership roles within Rotary, the community, and the workplace.

About Jeff Farris Leadership Academy

JFLA is a Rotary-sponsored educational curriculum designed to enhance the personal leadership skills of individual Rotarians within District 6170. The concept originated in 2004 under Past District Governor Jeff Farris. Two years later Rotary District 6170 formally adopted the Jeff Farris Leadership Academy as an ongoing training program.

In a structure where club officers change annually, Rotary needs to grow its prospective leaders from within. We also live in a world where leadership skills are increasingly critical on the job and within our communities. Through a curriculum that embraces the basic principles of effective leadership and the intricacies of Rotary, the Jeff Farris Leadership Academy addresses both of those needs.
